Going Fast

...to quote that famous race car driver Ricky Bobby in the 2006 movie Talladega Nights, “I wanna go fast.”

Johnny - Good read for sure .And I felt the same way this past weekend at the recent Stock/SuperStock combo race at Atco.First round my car hooked hard and I knew it was going to be a 'fast pass' - and like you I got into the sevens ( but mine was 7.69 @1000') and I really hated to lift and blip but I knew I was going to run out ( and did) .The feeling of a fast pass is always going to be there .........

To me, "going fast" means squeezing all of the performance possible out of your combination. Unfortunately, sportsman racing has been dumbed-down ( as Ed Wright would say) to the point that "going fast" now has little to do with lighting up "that little bulb".

Re: Going Fast

Many people, racers included will often say "dragsters are boring" and especially running S/C.....but strap some of these folks that say that into one and turn it loose and their opinion might change.

I mostly run S/C but occasionally let it fly and it gets my attention......real quick.....and undoubtedly feels good after a few hits....and usually puts a smile on my face.....
