XM Radio for race trailer
Racers,
I have XM Radio in the tow rig and I really enjoy the program variety. Due to that enjoyment, I want to equip the trailer with an XM Radio. Do some of you have the equipment? If so, what brand and what are the details. In addition, let?s look at a system that has strong reception for those weak FM track broadcast. Thanks for any ideas or comments. Larry Woodfin |
Re: XM Radio for race trailer
I have the XM Delphi Skyfi 2, which is a separate unit that clips onto your dash, and broadcasts to your vehicle's radio on one a several FM stations you can select. I've used it with a separate radio before, so I didn't have to have the truck on. They also make a boombox type deal that acts as a docking station for the Skyfi unit. Don't know how I lived on long trips without the XM!

Re: XM Radio for race trailer
Michael,
Yes, I really like the old radio shows [my favorites just now are Gum Smoke and DragNet] , comedy stuff, oldies. All very good for road time. It is a great change from commercial radio. If possible, I would like to find an all-in-one portable unit. [ac & dc] Larry Woodfin |

Re: XM Radio for race trailer
If only XM would get together with NHRA and carry ALL NHRA National Events !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then you could listen to it anywhere !!! I have a connector so I can take it out of my car and plug it into my home stereo plus a boombox setup .Makes it very nice........... |
