That 318-2 dime rocket
I've seen this mentioned before. In an A body, that Q or R. This combo better in T? I remember Clayton had a killer 273-2 wagon. Very well flogged. 318 a better, maybe cheaper route?

Re: That 318-2 dime rocket
Instead of posting on here asking about how "good" all of these "good" Mopar combos are, why don't you try actually building one. If you really know as much about Mopars as you seem to then you shouldn't have to ask. You surely don't need my permission.

Re: That 318-2 dime rocket
Henry, the 318-2V combo is pretty good. I'm just trying to instigate this guy actually DOING a combo for once instead of just TALKING about how good they are.

Re: That 318-2 dime rocket
Isn't the 273 factored with more horsepower than the 318?
Anyone know the history on that? Thanks! |
Re: That 318-2 dime rocket
It depends on the year and the heads. 273s are between mid 160s to mid 170s and the 318s are from high 160s to mid 180s.

Re: That 318-2 dime rocket
Short block in the car. Waiting to find either an appropriate 2 or 4 bbl carb and intake. Hell Billy!, you really screwed things up with the 273 aluminum intake hissy fit. That intake made a lot of HP for me.
