Inner tube nut
I have inner tubes in my 30/9/15 Goodyear slicks and they have threads, but no nuts.
Anybody know the correct size nut to use? Thanks in advance. |
Re: Inner tube nut
Well, we dont use tubes anymore but if I did I would not use a nut on the stem. Make sure the stem is stright up when you air up the tire, than you can watch if should move, if you nut it you will rip the stem off. Just my thought on the subject.

Re: Inner tube nut
I believe the correct nut thread size is either a 12 or 16 MM fine thread-Depends on the valve stem size---By the way these valves are known as PRESTA valves the other type is a SCHRADER which is the type most generally used in TUBELESS automotive applications------Right tho on the wheel spinning on the tire can cause mucho problems---Comp 387

Re: Inner tube nut
Apply Palmolive dish soap to the sidewalls inside, and ditch the tubes.

Re: Inner tube nut
Guys, thank you for the input. At this point the tubes will stay, later in 2008 I'll be switching
to MT radials and will leave the tubes out at that point. |
