Re: Need report on REDMAN and TRAVIS
Thanks for asking, Stan. I'm still hanging in there.
One does not realize how much you actually do in life until you are suddenly made immobile. With this kind of break I have not been allowed to put any weight on the leg. That means I do not have a "walking cast". Crutches have been my means of getting around. I have found that I can predict the weather and I set off alarms due to the metal the surgeon put in my leg. I go back to the orthopedic surgeon this Friday. He will x-ray the leg to see how the break is healing. If okay the cast comes off. If not, I'm not sure what will happen. At any rate I'm sure I will not be able to simply walk out of the office. There is talk of therapy and learning to walk again. May have to use a cane for awhile. This has been a long ordeal that I do not wish on anyone. All I can say is be careful on those rear trailer doors. They are truly slippery slopes. Hope to see everyone in the Spring. Glad to hear you are doing okay Travis. People do not realize how long some healing fractures keep you down or at least slowed down....See you soon.

Re: Need report on REDMAN and TRAVIS
Keep up the recovery efforts Travis...I'm sure the crutches and all the bionic parts and pieces now part of your body are no piece of cake either!
It will be a great day when you are back on both feet, not to mention how much you are missed at the races.. Team Checkmate Mike & Paul |

Re: Need report on REDMAN and TRAVIS
Didn't someone write a letter stating that early canes came in carbon fiber???????
Unk |
Re: Need report on REDMAN and TRAVIS
It was either Walter P. Ford or Zora Arkus Shelby that wrote the letter.

Re: Need report on REDMAN and TRAVIS
I've got a couple of used canes-my wife broke her foot and my grandson ran over his with the Corvette. Both were pretty recent, so the date stamp should be good-not sure if they're made by an accepted manufacturer.

Re: Need report on REDMAN and TRAVIS
Is a diaper required with that?
Hope to see walking around soon. |
