Re: fuel check
I bracket race but a lot of my competition is from NHRA legal S-SS cars. I have it after the regulator under the hood. I've seen it done on the cheep with hardware store fittings and $100 billet aluminum stuff that leaks. Long story short: if it's in the book, you need it. Checking it is up to the tech.

If you have an EFI fuel system, that exceeds 60 PSI of fuel pressure, then you need the Aeromotive Sampling valve. The Saf-Air fuel sampling valves are FAA approved and used in general aviation and affordable and even sold with a hose by RJ Race Cars. They have a brass and stainless steel version and have Viton seals. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...ircav110h4.php https://www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/pr...roduct/110HSS/ https://quartermax.com/fuel-sample-valve/ https://www.appliedracing.com/an-fit...ple-valve.html https://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-...CABEgJOYvD_BwE |

Re: fuel check
Its really handy to have a way operate the fuel pump from the engine compartment, not required just handy. I use a momentary switch wired to the pump that I installed on the fender apron.

The rule book specifies that the fuel pump must shut off with car’s ignition switch. |

Re: fuel check
I use a fuel shut of for a Motorcycle. The type that screws into the bottom of the gas tank. It’s the same pipe thread as the outlet port of the regulator. Put a length of rubber hose on the barbed end.
