What is going on with Summit Racing Shipping location?
 

This is now the second time that all the items I was about to order were all coming out of Arlington, Texas, not Tallmadge. I am 91 miles from Tallmadge, 1,265 miles from Arlington. Is anyone else noticing this shift in 'strategy' from Summit ??

They may have the item at a different warehouse and not at the one close to you. I have experienced the same from them and other vendors. The last time I ordered from Summit, I had items from one single order, shipped from 3 different locations, with different shippers.

Back quite a few years ago, before the Summit move to Texas I heard the highest 25 counties of mail order speed parts sales was in Texas
Could be why they have inventory there.
I know they put the hurt on a lot of independent speed shops when they moved in because of inventory as well as prices.

Getting a bit wierd, but you just can't find this stuff at 7-11.
Ordered valves, keepers, head bolts and oil seals. Valves were Ship from Manufacturer, but all else was In Stock. Box A Texas- Box B Ohio, Box C Nevada. Delivery spread from the 21st to the 25th.

Its not Summit just the industry in General. Just hope you get your order as Backorders are on the rise

when you go to checkout it tells where it is being shipped from, noticed it and changed my order slightly to get it all from ohio

Thanks for the replies. I’ve used summit just because I always wound up getting my stuff the next day even with basic ground shipping so long as I ordered before 10am, Jegs was 2 days.

Now I’m just going to use jegs exclusively. They support the sportsman racers more anyway, damm good people.

I'm not thrilled with Jeg's right now placed an order on April 28 part listed will ship within 24 hrs. May 17 still no part call to cancel they said they can't part was shipped from the manufacturer I ask when they can't answer < So until I get the part and return it they can't refund my money
