Maple grove divisional schedule
 

I was looking at the Maple Grove website for the Divisional on Aug. 28-29 and the way I am reading it looks like there is nothing happening on Friday except parking and only 1 time run on Saturday and right into eliminations. Is this correct???

The problem is they have Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School that whole week at the track and Friday is his final day for testing and licensing runs. We were originally supposed to have the .90 Nationals and Top Shootout that weekend but, got pushed when the D1 race got rained out and we were pushed to Labor Day. Well before the rain-out of the D1 race we had originally planned a small gamblers race that Friday the 27th but, when they scheduled Hawley that same day he wasn't going to budge on letting us co-race together that day, so I was wondering how that would go for the D1 race but, when they came out with no racing Friday and 1 TT and Elims Saturday I knew why..

Does anyone when the gates will be open till on Friday at the Grove.

Wonder what the plan might be IF this weekend get's washed out? Double at the Dutch? Run the D1 race Thur-Fri & Dutch Sat -Sun. No weekends left..

Right now it say 60% Sat & 40% Sunday...I think any of us will attest anything over 30% at MG and it's going to be that misty wet air crap.

Labor Day - Indy
Sept 9-12 - Keystones
Sept 16-19 - Dutch & Charlotte NE
Sept 24-26 - Double VMP
October 1-3 - Bracket Finals at Leb Valley / .90 Finale at MG / Dave Ley Series at Atco (He's only had 2 events so far)
October 7-10 - Cecil Lucas
October 15-16 - Maple only has a T&T Friday Night and Saturday, they have an Index Race Sunday which I'm sure Dave could filter in the remaining of the event if need be. Then you have to pray for no bad weather the rest of the year...the thing is, they need to cut off new entries after this event, if not you'll have everyone trying to come out to run the event to get one last shot.

Just my thought process but, I'm sure Dave has about 20 pieces of paper drawn up with options.

A quick count shows over 30 stock and super stock div1 cars entered for Charlotte, and another 30+ .90 cars.

Do you think they would run a divisional at the same time and screw those entered?
