Alan Dame passes
1 Attachment(s)
Sadly, I just heard that longtime stock/super stock racer Alan Dame passed away after a long bout with cancer. I pitted next to his brother, Elroy, at the Epping LODRS race. Alan was at the race and was a frequent visitor to his brother's trailer. It would be his last trip to Epping. Alan had a long history of outstanding mopars. Condolences to the Dame family. He was a great racer and will be sorely missed.

Re: Alan Dame passes
Alan was a great racer and even better painter and bodyman. He painted my car, Tom Boucher's Firebird and I think he painted John Gray's Nova. Many more I am sure. Tom had a trans fire and Alan had to fix the paint, I had some damage to mine in the trailer and Alan fixed that. Keep in mind that these were custom multi color paint schemes he had done previously and he fixed them and you could not tell.
Rest in Peace my friend |
Re: Alan Dame passes
I never met the man but we talked sometimes about his six pack stocker. He was a team player with the rest of us in the six pack world. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him. God speed

Re: Alan Dame passes
Still can't comprehend he is gone. He will be sorely missed forever. Allan was like a father figure to me. He did so much for me I can't put into words how much he is missed.Racing at the track will never be the same he leaves a void that can't be replaced. I can only take comfort in knowing that he is hanging out with my Dad in the staging lanes of heaven. RIP Allan. We love you.
