Calvert split mono leafs
Thinking about going to Calvert split mono leafs on my 66 Chevy II wagon. Still hav the factory mono leaf on the car right now. Was wondering if anybody seen any improved 60 ft times or any other improvements by going to the Calvert springs. Thanks again

Re: Calvert split mono leafs
My Mopars already had good springs BUT the Calverts always improved
60s AND consistency! Any other brand of car I do not know. |

Re: Calvert split mono leafs
Alot of guys run this suspension and are very happy with the way it works. I have a cpl friends that have switched from the old multi leaf with the slapper bars to this suspension. The current setup on my 69 Camaro G/SA 350 255hp is the same stuff that I ran in 1972 when I ran the 302 and speed. I'm still running the original multi leaf with the Lakewood Traction Action bars and they definitely work for us. Check out page 10 National Dragster for March 2022. I'm not a very good follower because everyone else is doing it. I've had many guys look at our rear suspension and just shake their heads,,it works for us and we ain't changing. That makes our setup that more impressive.

Re: Calvert split mono leafs
What I liked about the Calvert springs is the weight savings over the 02 , 03 springs with a custom main leaf for a 22” front segment. We use the Cal-trac bars.
Changing rear ride height is a simple task of re-arching the rear segment. Good luck. |

If you turn the front spring hangers upside down don’t forget to check pinion angle.
