spin tires on the launch
I saw Mr. Matyas, spun at the valley last weekend. --man that has has got to be one of the most frustrating feelings --end up just shutting it down.---
Track prep etc. I would be mad as hell, the rpm at these tracks must be tough to get right? |

Re: spin tires on the launch
My first round of qualifying I spun the wheels and broke free at a second into the run, not right at the line or at the shift, a little before the 60' mark, there really should've been no reason for it. I know they poured a new starting line, but don't know how far out they went with it, I didn't know if it happened at the transition from the new to old surface? I adjusted the tune a little and had no issues in any other run.

Re: spin tires on the launch
Hi all, the reason I mentioned it, is that there used to be a fellow up there -the starter guy I guess- whom was always there-and he used to be real aggressive and particular about checking the track. He'd be up, under and looking at everything, almost starring people down at the non-NHRA events checking that they knew what they were doing-always worried about the track-not these guys weren't- but it seemed like maybe they didn't have the help they needed- I even saw Wayne -the guy in charge? I think his name is- jump on the track sweeper at one point on Saturday when I was there - again it's just my view from looking on. Guess they just do the best they can, its all part of it anyway.
