Olds 7A Head Question
Im finding 7A heads for my car but have different part numbers. All the specs are the same. My question is do I have to run the part number for the 87/88 car or can I run the 7A head from 85 to 90?

Re: Olds 7A Head Question
You need to run the part #s that specifically show in the specs for
the particular year combo that you are running. |

There are two 7A castings: 1972 Olds 350, P/N 409147, and 1985 through 1990 Olds 307, P/N 0142. The difference between them is obvious because the Olds 350 has larger valves, a smaller combustion chamber, and larger ports, does not have the receded center exhaust port and the rocker arm pad is different. |
