Q-jets

Can someone confirm measurements on the new q-jets? Any jet , rods, front and back. Hanger stamps. Bore and venturi size. I would be curious to have one if they are cost effective to buy. I would like to do surgery on one.

Thanks

Are you talking about those chinese/amazon aluminum no name "carburetors"?

I don't think that they'll ever be legal, And I seriously doubt the QC on any metering parts could be trusted to approach the Rochester, Carter, or Edelbrock carburetors.

Yeah your probably right about that. I still would like to open one up, take a look and just assess. There really cant be any production # on them that would correlate with the American Rochester Products numbers. I would assume that parts might be interchangeable if they have American standard threads for jets and screws. Thanks for your input.

Any QJet manufactured by Rochester is legal so long as the Venturi and throttle bore measures correctly for your combination .
750 CFM primary 1.090 x 2.250.
Any rods , hangar, jets. Choke blade must remain in place.

Merry Christmas Steve Teeter Stk/SS to 620

I would think if they legalize the QF carb, the after market heads. Why not these Q-jets if the bore size and venturis are correct? :)

Hear! Hear!

You're absolutely correct MJ. Already heard from some people. They're junk, and will not be approved.

Comparing those garbage chinese "carburetors" to the excellent quality product that Quick Fuel produced, or even the Edelbrock/Weber Q-Jets, is an insult to good quality part suppliers.

Has NHRA Tech Dept in writing stated they these Carburators are not Legal?
As to them being "Junk" , I have traveled in China, visited foundries and machine shops there. Almost every US company is there with some level of manufacturing. I recently purchased a new QF fuel pump, it lasted one race. It was junk. I returned it. I told them to keep it.
Poor QC is a production problem not always a location problem.

I have 1 on my bench. Trying to find time to dissect. Hopefully tomorrow. If anyone knows some measurements off the top of their head for a 750. Let know. Thanks
