DLC coated lifters
So where do most racers /builders get their DLC coated lifters ??
I'm asking for a friend |
Re: DLC coated lifters
I use only Trend. Dealt with PPP, once. Never again. Trend has always been really good to me. Most of what I sell is not coated, because they're using them on cast core cams.

Re: DLC coated lifters
I would call Debbie at PPP and ask about delivery. They make a good product if you can get them. I believe their coating work is done in France. The DCL coating is only as good as the company applying it. PPP has struggled producing lifters, no question about it.

Re: DLC coated lifters
PPP came through with a set for me last month. I talked to Debbie a couple of times and she was very nice to deal with and gave me straight up answers to my questions.

Re: DLC coated lifters
I see that Calico is offering DLC coating now. I don't know any details but thought it would be of interest.

Re: DLC coated lifters
I have used this company for a few projects in the past. They have a number of coating options. The quality was always spot on.

Re: DLC coated lifters
So can none of you recall what you paid for the DLC coating on lifters. How about to coat a camshaft.?? $$

Re: DLC coated lifters
I purchased my lifter from Trend already coated. As I recall the coated lifters were about $6-800 more than the uncoated tool steel lifters. After talking to some people, I think you can get the coating from an outside source for much less.
