Re: Decal Removal
Be careful . HF type heat guns are too hot, IMO.
Use a hair dryer, if you've got one. Peel at a sharp angle,..slowly . Then use a rag with some gas to get the glue off. If It's white , baked on aluminum, you won't hurt it. If it's paint out of a spray gun... No tellin' what could happen. |
Re: Decal Removal
put it out in the sun and spray them around the edges with WD40 . it takes a little time to get going but once you can get it behind the edges, they come off pretty good , with no damage to the paint.
It also works really well for cleaning up the glue residue left behind. |
Re: Decal Removal
I also like to use those plastic razor blades to get under the decals, and get things started without the risk of paint damage

I use lighter fluid for glue residue.

This is the best adhesive remover I have ever used and it is easy on paint. It works great for removing rubber and black specks from the burnout box too.
