Weight break change
Has anyone noticed some of the weight breaks have changed. Looking in the guide at one of my cars that received Hp I also noticed the weight break is NOT the same as the printed version I have from this summer. The Engine got 4 Hp and also no longer runs in the same class’s The weight breaks are lighter

Re: Weight break change
Years ago this happened to my combo, with the hp hit my car was no longer legal for the class I was running and I could not get the car light enough to get to the new min weight. Was running a 13# class and my new weight was 11.99. IT happens. Tom

Re: Weight break change
That’s not what happened here. My 85-86 Firebird 305 has two Hp options the weight breaks also changed in the other engine combo that did not get any Hp.

Re: Weight break change
If you think NHRA made an error ask you division Tech director to check on it. The class will change only with the HP on the OEM heads. With approved after market heads just the weight is adjusted up or down. Try doing the math yourself and see if you get the same result.
Check and see if the Camaro, same platform, and year model received the same treatment. |
