check the motels right after you come off the sunshine bridge if you can not get room there check Gonzales just a little long ride to the track

There are about 9 or 10 in or near Morgan City, La
If my memory is correct Morgan City is about 20-25 miles south of the track.

In Donaldsonville, trying the Quality Inn this time instead of the Holiday Inn Express. Recommend allowing plenty of time to get to the track from the hotel. Been stopped by a train there more than once, and for more than just a few minutes.
