Hi Gang - So we're in and parked with entries a bit light around 100 to 125 so far as the gates are now closed for the evening .The expected thunder storms never came tonight but you never know .

Tomorrow is to be test n tune if mother nature allows .

Plenty of good pit space so saddle up …….

BTW - the place looks great .

How does the weather forecast look for today?
They are callling for 60% chance of the wet stuff for today!
Thankfully Friday, Saturday and Sunday look raceable at this point.

Good morning members and guests - today is not looking great at this moment - rained some about an hour ago and has stopped but it's ugly out .Really hate to start off this holiday weekend on a wet note plus chilly and no Sun -
Summer will arrive soon for sure .

Gates will open at 7 :30 .

Far as I can tell Steve Rhoads will be at the helm this race as they ( the NHRA ) haven't hired a new Division Director yet .If you see Steve this weekend be sure to give him a thumbs up as he is working hard and long to make this a smooth running event .All that plus maybe Dave Mohn will make a guest appearance as this is in his backyard .

So it's almost 1pm and still dripping every so often - the 1 o'clock start is off the table for sure .Somehow I knew this would happen earlier when I signed up and paid .BTW , in case you're interested it's a buck and a quarter to enter.

Well a few minutes ago test n tune was over .That said most racers got three passes in today .As far as being fast it wasn't - the track wasn't bad but the sixties were not fab to say the least .Good news is we didn't think the weather was going to let us run at all.

Stock out tomorrow morning first for a 8:30 start...….


Hope someone was taking pics as I was a bit busy.

Is that cooler latches I hear ?????

One last thing - weather today was close to being the same all afternoon
82 degrees-52 % humidity -29.30 barometer -.58 vp- 3095 DA .

The Grove has a micro-climate that is challenging to tune for and to dial.
