Pontiac Iron Duke
I am wondering if the Pontiac Iron Duke 4 cylinder engine would be competitive in NHRA stock or SS class racing or is factored too high?

Re: Pontiac Iron Duke
The 62-69 Novas had a 4 cylinder option available. It was not called an Iron Duke.

Re: Pontiac Iron Duke
Bottom ends/main area of the 151 block are very weak along with the crankshafts being very spindly---heads are a problem with no flow u will have see what they allow as a stocker I would forget it as a SS it all depends on what they will let you get away with--and the carbs probably are lacking any thing to be used for performance---no support for the cam shafts only 3 bearings you need 5 to keep it from whipping around--- you will have to make or really scrounge around for any parts to make it work---if you never ran a 4 before its going to be a long learning curve to be successful-- FED 387
