V8 vega
First off this question don’t belong here but I’m sure one of you knows the answer. When I was a teenager I had a V8 Vega and it never made it to the track but where we raced I’m guessing and about 1200 feet it would flutter the windshield wipers then hold em off the windshield till you lifted. The speedo was way off from the Power train swap anyone else encounter this if so at what speed did that happen. One of those things ya spend the rest of your life wondering almost makes you want to build another one with correct speedo to see but I hated it unless the go pedal was nailed and then for a short time it was my favorite car ever. It was a 1972 stock hood car.

Re: V8 vega
I’ve been looking for that answer for about 45 years. Back then when one of friends wanted to race I give them a ride out to the spot and say watch the wipers no one that went for a ride wanted to run it after that.

Re: V8 vega
That brings back fond memories of my youth, I remember all the V8 Vegas in the staging lanes with their windshield wiper blades duct taped down.

Re: V8 vega
The Vega was always a POS like the pinto.

Re: V8 vega
Yeah, Vegas, Pintos, Gremlins, Monzas and Mustang IIs were pretty horrible. But in the 70s and 80s they were what we had that were light and plentiful. They served their purpose until the 3rd gen Camaros and Fox-body Mustangs came out.
