Dennis Maurer
Dennis Maurer passed away last week. He was the wings behind Judy Lilly. Judy proceded Dennis in death. Dennis practiced his craft of Drag Racing at many tracks around Denver since the 60's. His engine building skills propelled him to National prominence as Judy won races nationally. Dennis and his engine building knowledge will be missed.

He was a one of a kind character for sure.
I have been to his shop and chatted with him a few times 30 years ago. |

Re: Dennis Maurer
I surely will miss the patriarch of "MAURER POWER". I too am glad I got to see Dennis in his Tempe shop, and at the track!
Although I was glad to see the "Miss Mighty Mopar" Duster he built for Judy Lilly, at our recent D7 double-header last month, I wish his '65 Dodge Coronet SS/BA, would come out of hiding, and also get back to the track, where it belongs.... |
