That's the same basic engine... going 6.20's! There are LS1's making that sort of power too. I always thought "newfangled junk" too.

An LS1 would need a replacement rotating assembly to handle that kind of HP and survive. I believe that the SC Mustang motors have forged cranks, rods, and pistons.
