Pete,
If the scrathes are REAL fine, I have had success with a simple application of Rain-x or two.

Rain-x carries a polymer that allows it to fill the pores in glass (that's how it does what it does), and that capability has helped to eliminate some very fine scrathes as well.

If the scratches are stronger than that, the Eastwood kit will sometimes work, or, if you don't want to attempt it yourself, check with the local street rod guys you know, there always seems to be a "car guy" glass man around that can do wonders as well.
