Default Re: IMport going rounds in Super Stock at Pomona

Its great to see Scott out there running, he is a excellent ambassador from the sport compact ranks. He is like many with similar style cars, very professional, and great racer. I know that some of you guys enjoy bashing on the sport compacts as "kids" "punks" and falling into the stereotypes of NOPI, bikini contest ect. For myself and 90 percent of the racers who competed in NOPI race classes that kind of stuff was annoying beyond belief since it portrayed the racers in a way that was completely wrong.

I must disagree with you, there are plenty of import racers like my self that run "Street Stock" which is very close in nature to SS, no swaps, oem trans/motors, but more lenient on the some of the rules. Right now there is no place for us street cars to cross over, after about a half a dozen emails and no one from NHRA could give me a straight answer what class my car would fit into, and what rules I would have to meet.
