Re: 10% pay cut for NHRA employees?
That's a real shame for the regularary hour wage earner that works for NHRA and shame on the NHRA's upper management. NHRA's management doesn't seem to get it, you need as many cars as posibble now to fill the count so that there is more money rolling in, instead they raise the entry fee and increase pitpasses for the crew members. If you do the math, the car count in stock eliminator alone is down 30% from last year at Bradenton. If you figure that the car count would be close to last years, they would have 17 more cars @ $140 = $2380.00 more income.
I personally could easilly afford to pack up and go to Bradenton, but I drew a line in the sand and will not cross it at this point. I can't see an entry fee of $160.00 to race for $1000.00. It goes against my grain and I will sit it out until NHRA sees the light. I will just take my business to races that are willing to some what thank the racers for showing up at their gate.
54 @ 140 = 7560 would be smart to lower entry
37 @ 160 = 5630 Dumb Asses! Up the entry
