NHRA.....National Hot Rod Association......sounds like a group of people who formed an organization to support something they like to do. Only problem is the members of the organization have no input to what happens to their association.....and quite frankly we never had a say in what happens......Not in 1966 when I started and not in 2009. Maybe a little grumbling got things changed here and there but not very often and not in any hurry. ..........Some people are P.O.'ed at the cost increases....some people think it's a drop in the bucket and happy to have the opportunity to race. NHRA does whatever it wants to do and basically always has.........Remember Modified Eliminator.....How about Pro Stock Trucks.......Pro Stock got jerked around royally as well in the early years....and there are plenty of other examples of them doing things with no input from their membership.

NHRA is apparently really feeling the pinch in their pocketbook and this is their response.......
