Default Re: D1 NHRA Boycott?

WOW!!!...... Mike Pliska has come up with a great idea........ after all, we do all participate in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series........ and where did Morgan Lucas and Shawn Langdon come from??..... our back yard......

One problem we face, and we all know it, is that we all want to race and we all want to be part of the BIG SHOW...... me included....... so the boycott idea is not a good one because not all would participate....... and those who do would probably end up worse off than we all are now...... just judging by some fines and lifetime bans that were doled out some years back for unruly behavior.......

I would be all for strategically placed banners to be erected during the Pro (TELEVISED) sessions...... especially if they are live....... and it would fall under the Freedom of Speech Act, therefore not illegal........ I would also be in favor of, and assist in paying for, one page adds in any publication that has anyting to do with NHRA or auto racing in general....... BUT...... John DiBartolomeo is absolutely right when he says the pen is mightier than the sword....... flood Lucas Oil and NHRA with letters, and I truly believe we will be heard.......

And someone brought up "where is Sportsman Racing headed"????...... in my opinion, withing the next few years, Sportsman Racing at National Events will consist of TA/FC, TA/D, T/D, T/S, S/C, S/G, and maybe S/ST...... you will not see Stock, S/S, or Comp........ NHRA will cut down on tech staff and still have the fillers....... Pro Mod will still be considered an exhibition class cause it costs NHRA less....... and don't be surprised if the alcohol classes have to pay entry fees in the future.........
