James & Fred,
You are correct in the Averages. I watched this happen a couple of years a go when Dan Fletcher "saved" a class index by making quite a few "Just over .50 under" runs. It pulled the Avg back under 1 sec for the class. The altitude 1.40 under change that I was concerned with is why I'm trying to make my comeback (after 2 1/2 years away) @ Memphis instead of Great Bend. I can get a Friday T&T to get setup to stay away from that 1.40 number. Now if I can just get the rear tires back on the car. (found a problem with the wheel studs) & get the brakes working on my hauler truck I might make it. 2 1/2 years of just sitting sure is hard on man & Machine... :~)
