I'd be willing to bet some bucks that Div. 6's holding a divisional the same wknd had something to do with the reason both Stock/Super Stock car counts are much lower than they would be if those races weren't contested the same wknd., when they're within 800 miles from each other (for one), and Boise, Id. is actually closer to Fallon, than it is to Spokane, Wa.??? i read this post and felt it neccesary to respond, the car count in spokane only has 2 div 7 cars on the q-sheet out of 40 in stock and 1 div 7 out of 17 in super stock. all the rest are div 6, my point being maybe it is a low count just because it is a low count, look at the S/S count in spokane as well.[/QUOTE]
Dion,
Not only did I look at the S/S count at Spokane as well, I also looked at last years entries for both races, and my point was made by the fact that 3 S/S racers, and 4 stockers were at last years Fallon Div 7 race. Since Div 6 waited a weekend to hold their Kent, Wa. divisional, they had Jimmy DeFrank out there with both his S/S & Stocker cars, plus 3 other div 7 racers made the trek up to Kent, which helped both divisions with the added revenues from their neighbors racers. Yes their car counts were small, but they could've been larger if the brain trust's from both divisions didn't schedule those two races the same weekend. That would be like div 4 scheduling a race in Ennis, Tx. the same weekend that div 3 would hold a divisional in Kentucky, with numerous racers living in Tennessee...div 4's loss would be div 3's gain (when both could gain if the races were held one wknd after the other...not the same one?)!
