For sportsman combinations, I like the MDS 8.5 wires.
My preference is buying the wire sets that only have the spark plug ends attached. This allows a tidy custom fit by crimping the distributor end to the exact length for my needs.
In addition, I have used the Moroso equivalent wire with the same good results.
And this personal comment, I think the absolute most important issue with spark plug wires is careful attention to detail, careful crimping, careful routing. Every effort must be made to keep them away from exhaust contact.
In addition, do not overlook the coil wire and any distributor trigger wires.
The secondary coil wire should as short as practical. And the "trigger wires" should be routed as far away as possible from the secondary wiring.
