as far as fuel check... he is right, and an explosion is only a little poor luck away... not to mention the checker sitting beside a jug of mixed fuels... geez fume alone will kill ya...
so just sick OSHA on NHRA and shazaam there will be rules changes...someone with intelligence (not me of course) should be able to figure this one out

Jack,having an AMC car is like having old luggage.You just can't get rid of it.If grounding the car is a solution they
(NHRA) can hire a monkey to clip a grounded wire to the cars at the lug nuts.Only one car at a time or more than one monkey.The fuel check guy is on his own.
Seriously a good friend had his car toasted at fuel check.Not a spark condition but none the less very dangerous and ulitmately expensive afterwards.
Someone mentioned not having the fuel pump on when drawing fuel.Is there another way to draw fuel without the pump on if your fuel valve is in the engine compartment?
