To get back on the topic of this thread,I race in F/SA with a 1970 442 Convertible at 3950 pounds.

Just for kicks,I went to one of those online horsepower calculators,and tried to figure out how much horsepower I would need to run 10.87,which is what the F/SA class winner ran in the class final.These were the results:


Horsepower Results - 1/4 Mile Method
Your 442 weighs about 3950 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 10.87 seconds. That means that you've got about 607.85 HP at the wheels, and about 790.20 HP at the flywheel.


I don't know much about the 340,but how much horsepower and weight are they running?
