Thanks for the replies and opinions. I appreciate that.
I decided I couldn't reasonably justify laying down the $700+ on a "pro" unit. I simply don't use it enough, however with the price of racing rings these days, it wouldn't take many screw-ups to pay for one. In saying that, I decided to build one. I have machined the turn-table most of the other small pieces already. The motor and controller will arrive in a week.
I have a real issue in buying Chinese, other than the occasional dinner. I try to only buy North American built whenever I can, but as we all know that's getting darn hard to do.
Anyway, I'll post my project results when I'm done.
