Zastava wasnt making them then, but "A Merry Yugo" in Barberton Ohios head Mechanic had a high 13 second one in about 87....the Fiat parts interchange albeit not legal for Stock eliminator
And just because Im new to Stock Eliminator means I have that much more to prove (to myself only) If I can kick some others in the teeth at the track along the way all the more fun, it also means I have a fresh perspective on rules and loopholes that others dont see. I have been racing since I was 8, Motorcycles, then karts then cars, then bikes again....30+ years now, yes Im 38, Ive died twice racing, so Id say Im pretty invested in it and know what is and what isnt possible from my own capabilities, I retired 2 years ago from my day job to do this full time.
Well see you at the Track next year Im sure well be running in A, B, D, E and F at all the Nationals (ab, def depending on field and where our best opps are).....I dont worry about the driving part, I leave that to hired guns when needed.
Cheers
Chris
(And yes it really is that easy to drive straight, if my 12 year old can....to drive straight GOOD is different and Ill give you that.....take a vintage GP bike that handles like a big gyro on a 4 hour road course endurance run....Hence the Drag racing, my body dosent recover as fast from that anymore)

It reminds me of people that say "anyone can drive in a straight line"...
