Default Re: wideband 02 sensor/data logging

I used an Innovate LM-1 on my LT-1 Firebird and it worked fine with little or no problems. It was very helpfull and the software that comes with it is very good. I had zero experience with tuning an EFI powered engine and the LM-1 allowed me to get it running pretty well. I bought everything I needed from Greg Kelley at Motorsports Innovations.

The car I used it on was sold and it was tuned some by a much more experienced tuner than myself. There was very little gains made from where I had the car running. A little better launch and slightly quicker ET's but overall that LM-1 was a great tool.

I simply pressed a record button on the unit (laying on the passeneger seat) before making a run........press it again after the finishline to stop the recording. Remove unit and hook it up to my laptop and use the software to look at the run.

I removed the O2 sensor anytime I was not using the LM-1. Had it in a collector and had to add some collector length to dampen lean spikes at lower rpm. I could see stage rpm, converter stall, shift rpms and max rpm at the stripe.

LM-1 with an RPM Converter.....I think now they offer an LM-2 that does the same job.....

I sold the car and the LM-1 and laptop went with it.....I wish I had both back as I could use it on my present car......
