My only point was 10 years or so ago that Olds 350 was rated at 275hp. Someone was smart enough to get it dropped, or NHRA was dumb enough to drop 25hp off that combination. That's alot at one time!
All of the GM 350's of that vintage are higher than that by far. My only point was it doesn't take as much effort to go that fast when the HP is to the low side. These guys are taking advantage of a good thing.
Like I said, I have nothing against the owners, I'm sure they are all great guys and work hard., but those are the facts.
Sam Murray has the same motor (bigger cam) and his is 275hp, and at one time was 280hp. Now his car is REAL fast with an honest HP figure.
