Gotcha, I know that you can have a "Protrans" done in the 904 case as well, but I wondered what was done with input and output shafts since that along with fluid windage is the obvious advantage (and case strenght) of the 727 case......
Ive heard a few people running the 904 cased protranse 28 tooth, etc. but well have always wonderend ,(and not yet asked)
Were setup for a 904 case and I want it to stay that way, Ill "buy" the couple hundreths somewhere else....and I THINK I can...

The 2 Pro Tans I have had from Dave were 727 cases from Small block Chrysler modified with an adapter to fit Chevy bolt pattern and the special (non stock) 904 internals installed.
