Default Re: Live from the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals

Sorry everyone, when I lost 4th round I packed up and headed home. I figured I would stop after a 100 miles fuel up and give a run down on the day. You all know by now it has be postponed until tomorrow.

Well as you can see I never stopped, I'm about 2 hours from home. I stopped to eat, so I thought it would be a good time to give the final recap of the race.

It was another cold morning when we ran 4th round. It was 10:30 and the temp was 56, the bar was 29.30 and the humid was 67, we had a cross head wind about 5 to 10 mph. I had a tough time dialing like many others. The first run down the track on Thursday was fast, and I thought it would have been similar except for the head wind. I still missed my dial buy 3 hundreds, I think Joe also missed by 2 hundreds, I could be wrong though. Anyway he drilled me on the tree and the rest was history.

Bill Hawk has been doing a good job and it would be nice to see him win. I think it will be tough though, Anthony Bertozzi is one tough racer and he has him next. If Anthony wins the next round in stk and ss he will have a by into the final for both. Pete Biondo is still in and driving well, and everyone knows how tough he is.

I had a great time, this is a awesome track that I highly recommend. The bite was killer even with the temp at 56. A cold track, but it did not matter. The prep work for the sportsman was great.

Below is my last picture, its my favorite meal, its a meal and a snack all in one.

Rich, I use a two step button on the break pedal, and as you can see by my lights, I need a little more work on using a blocker. The only thing it has done for me, it stops me from red lighting.
