This car or another that fits this description was bought by Ron Mandella from Milne Brothers Chrysler Plymouth in Pasadena, California. Ron ran the car with some success (1964 Indy class win, 1964 Hot Rod Magazine Stock Eliminator championship, A/SA NHRA record holder in 1964) from the spring of 1963 until he sold it in late 1965 to Rod Phillips of Arcadia. Rod ran the car for a year or so and sold it to someone in Division 6. It was campaigned in various configurations, including with an aluminum front clip under the name, "War Axe." I have seen pictures of the car in its present condition as recently as the last three years. I have been told that the vin tag is still with the car and that it has been verified by a Mopar expert as indicating the low compression (11:1) Stage I, Max Wedge. I know that the car was delivered in this configuration. It was not a fabricated piece.
