I have stood at the finish line and watched a BUNCH of class racers do just that. And some of them are the same ones that wouldn't be caught dead at a local bracket race. Because they are class racers! These are the same ones that just bought a six figure race car and a 30k "stock" motor from the guy that can build that combination and then go out and bomb the index ( taking 50 foot of stripe) And I'm supposed to be impressed?
They might as well race wallets.

I think you'll find a lot of class racers at the local bracket races but maybe not in their class cars. A lot of guys have cars built for every weekend type of brackets that they use between class racing. A class car takes a lot of maintenance so sometimes its more cost effective to have a second car. As far as bombing the index goes that is usually an accident unless the car has an R on the window.
