Yes, Terry.....The sleds are also drag racing on frozen lakes and man-made ice tracks w/their carbide tipped ice-pick- pinned tracks and carbide- runnered skis all over the US and Canada in the winter months (Jan.-Feb.).....they also run them on grass tracks w/packed clay starting lines from Sept. thru November in certain parts of the country and Canada.....some reaching 135mph plus in 500 feet.....AND most sanctioned races draw thousands! The Snowmobile 1/8 and 1/4 mile asphalt drag racers are a well- organized and professional group, and should be welcomed by everyone here....PLUS, their money is nice and green! Not their fault that our governing bodies can't set up a fair race order/event format and schedule for EVERYONE'S daily racing.....Again, just my take on this.....from "an old sled dog".....Best wishes Terry.....
