Re: Live from Atco, NJ - NHRA Lucas Oil DRS
Jimmy, Don is running one of the original CJ's it is his 2008. He was not able to back up the 9.41 for the AA/S record.
Here is a shot of Brian Oakes Blue '69 Camaro setting the record in SS/CA. 8.94@147. Looks like Denny Stewart will be busy in tear-down. By the way Denny is one smart tuner, although he said he would never help me. Brian told him I was no good just because I run a Ford, go figure.
Jack will not be updating for a while today. he develop an oil leak and he has to pull the trans to fix it.
The first qualifying pass was the best shot of the day if you got a hold of the track. The second qualifying was about 2 to 3 slower, but the track was a little slick at times. A few of the new CJ's had a tough time
hooking up along with a few others.
Overall its been a good day, the only problem is and its a minor one, there is so much pollen in the air that they have to clean the track after every category.
It looks like Joe Garbarine set the record in his '05 Cavalier GT/GA, but I don't have the numbers, sorry everyone, I will be back later to confirm and find out if anyone else set records.
Super Stock just finished there final run for the day, their numbers were also slower then this morning.
