Lightbulb Re: NHRA, when are you going to raise your purses?

Ask yourself, why should NHRA raise the purse when there are still good car counts at any of their races? I for one will not pay an entry fee of $160 to race for $1k, but the racers line up to get into the gate. If I were NHRA, I think I would lower the purses until the car counts starts to really go down, then I would give the racers a bone and up the purse again to $1100. and just through in $190 entry as a little clause. Clause like they have to pay for more insurance or potty houses.
NHRA will keep on the way that they operate until the racers change the way that they do business with them. The racers bring the show and pay for it all at the same time, NHRA is capitalizing on it, that's all.
