Low 12's to 10.9's is a big, big spread.....I'm sure there were some big differences in Evan's test car and the 10.90's car.....however, Evan's times w/that GT stocker are scary fast....Heck, I can remember when Evan was rowing stick '98-'99 LS-1 pure stock Camaros w/street tires to 12..8's in his tests (GM Hi-Tech Magazine) shortly after those cars were introduced....Good LS-1 NHRA Camaro/Firebird/GTO stockers are running what?......high to mid-10's? And capable of? Low 10's, even high 9's? The GT Mustang cars just may end up being classed w/some of the LS-1 cars. Good competition---that's why we need all the new performance cars......and yes, those 5.0 Fords are going to be something else in stock eliminator after people really get into them....
