While I'd have to agree with you, in principle, that Chrysler is doing a great job selling the DP program, I have to wonder whether that success benefits anyone
but Chrysler and the chosen few who are allowed to own the DP cars. Joe and Jane Public, who might like to race a "look a like" Challenger, can't because the only vehicle in the Classification Guide is a program car unavailable to the "general public". Their car looks cool sitting in the parking lot, but can't be raced in Stock Class because no one thought to certify it! Oversight? Maybe so - I've never agreed with the certification process anyway. If the manufacturer built more than 500 of them and sold them to the general public, I should be able to race it in Stock eliminator. Why doesn't that happen? It sure would open up a lot of different combination's.
