So if you take the factory shipping weight divided by the factory rated HP, that would tell you which class it would fall in. Unless, Dodge would "fudge" the numbers a lot!
4140/425 (SAE Rated HP) = 9.74 and some change so its a natural D,

The D Index is 11.55 and the car can easily run that with a cam , headers and ditching the IRS and going to a proper gearset the care is capable of running probably a 10.50 , So if a car is capable of going 1 under, thats not competitive ?....

Lets say Im PUSHING it, and I dont think I am and the best the car is capable of is .5 under...and only could ever run 11, which is pretty off......Ive got buddies who with a max overbore (equiv) cam headers and nothing else in a heavier car is (or was hoping to break) into the 9.s late last year I havent talked to him this year or seen him at our local track. This is his daily driver, the ONLY track change is dropping from 21's to 18's for ratio and traction (at the time he set up for 18's there were no 21 drag radials)

What in your opinion, and Im being serious, because this is a difference in perfectpions.....so dont take this as me puffing up.

What is your idea a competitive combo ? Har far under does it need to be able to run under ?

Maybe 1 sec isnt enough, and its my perception VS yours, I am curious as to a real question, its one Ive never asked.

But in my book ESPECIALLY just by dumping the IRS, Gears etc, it could still be a 100k daily driver....
