Actually the new rod, piston and pin combo that I put in had a bob weight a little heaver than the one I was running. The pistons and pins weighed about the same but the rod is about 30 grams heavier. the engine ran quicker after the rebuild as expected. The rest of the supporting cast is of more importance as to how the car will run, Heads ,intake, cam selection, car set up. I would run those pistons if they are in good condition.
