I've never had a "bracket mode" as I'm in the "let's rotate the earth every pass crowd".

But you'll see others:
  • change to radials
  • massive engine cool down
  • adjust timming
  • adjust jetting
  • connect the secondaries
  • increase launch RPM
  • increase shift RPM
  • let the alternator belt fall behind the pulley
  • change to light-weight crisco and forget a few quarts
  • Re-calibrate factory on-board computer if applicable
  • confirm valve lash is set
  • remove air filter
  • use the really high dollar fuel
  • adjust weight

That covers the legal stuff. Or at least all I can think of right now.
