the 8.8 is very much like a 12 bolt GM. I have run those with one quart of Valvoline 80/90 GL 5 in a low power [11.30 et] foot brake car.

In a trans brake 10.60 car I ran 1.5 qt with no problems.

In my opinion, 1.75 qt is the most I would run in a drag race application.
