I agree with Mike F. Can't blame Ford or Chrysler or any of the car's owners.
Total responsibility for this whole fiascal falls on NHRA's shoulders and their "I don't give a $h_t attitude" toward those sportsman racers that have supported them all through the years.
Either get them (DP/CJ) in their own class or get the HP ratings right and this whole thing will be fun again.
